Future of mobile technology
But some new technologies that are going to come in near future have been designed by the scientists...
Although the new 3G system had just been launched not long ago, many companies had already started on researching and developing on the fourth generation (4G) system. Researchers are hoping that the 4G system can reach a much faster speed, a connection speed up to 100Mb per second during connection, tighter network security and also bring up the quality during communication no matter on voice or video calls. Via mobile phones, many things such as the security system, surveillance on certain items could be done easily. The 4G system will be expected to be launched in 2010...
Other concepts brought out by the researchers include remote-controlling a car via a mobile phones, holophones (mobile phones that project three-dimensional moving images of the users). These concepts are expected to be brought out in the next 15-20 years!!!!

IRiver Home wave-home networking device

The WAVE-HOME is a home-networking device that provides advanced multimedia, web and phone capabilities. As you can see from the photo, the WAVE-HOME has a base station and a handset with a minimalist design for a very interesting aesthetic.
The base station has a seven inch color LCD touch screen, and is designed to stay connected to Broadband Internet. From here, the user can access all kinds of digital content including music, photos, movies, hand drawing, plus all sorts of Internet services.
The handset is designed for communication through VoIP calls, so the WAVE-HOME can be used like an old-fashioned land-line phone. The base station even has a 1.3 Megapixel CMOS camera for video conferencing, and is capable of taking still photos.
The WAVE-HOME also features an intelligent Widget, a feature that is becoming more common on most television sets. These widgets provide instant access to weather, stock, and traffic updates.

Samsung Show - projector mobile phone

This is the Samsung Show and it’s the Korean’s first attempt at a projector phone, the candybar style phone may appear a little on the bulky side and runs Samsung’s proprietary OS.
The main specs will be released over the next week but we do know that the Samsung Show features support for Korea’s DMB-T digital TV system, uses Samsung’s TouchWIZ user interface, uses DLP projection technology from Texas Instruments and it’s got an OLED touchscreen display and a 5-megapixel camera - not bad at all!
The projector will give you five options and these include: Flashlight, TV, Story Telling, Album and File Viewer. Each of these modes give you the best viewing experience for that type of display. The exact Samsung Show release date is not known just yet, but we do know that Korea will see it coming later this month.

The Latest Mobile Phone Technology

4G, an acronym for Fourth-Generation Communications System, is a term used to describe the next step in wireless communications. A 4G system will be able to provide a comprehensive IP solution where voice, data and streamed multimedia can be given to users on an "Anytime, Anywhere" basis, and at higher data rates than previous generations. There is no formal definition for what 4G is; however, there are certain objectives that are projected for 4G. These objectives include: that 4G will be a fully IP-based integrated system. This will be achieved after wired and wireless technologies converge and will be capable of providing 100 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s speeds both indoors and outdoors, with premium quality and high security. 4G will offer all types of services at an affordable cost.
WiFi is a wireless technology brand owned by the Wi-Fi Alliance intended to improve the operating of wireless products. Common applications for Wi-Fi include Internet and VoIP phone access, gaming, and network connectivity for consumer electronics such as mobile phones, laptops, game consoles, MP3 players and PDA's. Wi-Fi also allows connectivity which enables devices to connect directly with each other. This connectivity mode is useful in consumer electronics and gaming applications.
It's faster and has a greater range than Bluetooth, and is ideal for home or office connectivity.
VoIP has become popular largely because of the cost advantages to consumers over traditional telephone networks. VoIP calls can be placed across the Internet. In addition, VoIP plans do not charge a per-minute fee for long distance. For International calling, the monetary savings to the consumer from switching to VoIP technology can be enormous.
