Let’s sWAP a watch for a phone

The sWaP Watch has turned the tables on our plucky pocket phone friend and has stolen all of its coolest functions. It not only tells the time, but the wearer can pop in their SIM card to transform the watch into a wrist communicator a la Dick Tracy. And there’s more. Built into the strap is a 1.3 megapixel camera, so you can sneakily snap all of those top secret government documents you keep finding left on the pub table - or you could just take pics of your mates. The memory card slot allows you to insert a T-Flash card to upgrade the already impressive 128MB memory to a whopping 2GB. With all that memory you’ll have no problem storing all your MP3s and you can even watch MP4 movies on the 1.5 TFT color touch screen. You can access WAP sites, bringing the world wide web to your wrist and the watch is Bluetooth enabled, so if you’re sick of getting tangled up in your hands free kit you can banish the wires forever.

LED Blow On-Off Candles

The LED Blow On-Off Candles are solid wax (except for some electronics) and feature a natural-looking, flickering light just like normal candles, but they have a couple of extra techno enhanced powers. Regular candles will blow out if you blow on the flame, but these LED candles will also blow on. All you have to do is use the master on/off switch on the bottom, and these candles will turn on and off with just a puff at the “flame”. Even better, each candle has a switch to select either a cool blue flame, or a more realistic yellowish flame. From the proper distance and height, these candles will fool everyone into thinking they are the real thing; they are a fantastic way to put candles where it is too dangerous to have open flames.

Music headphones can interfere with heart devices

As the world gonna reach a stage that people cant survive without mobile phones, ipods, etc. I certainly don't think people should overreact to this information. Headphones contain magnets, and some of these magnets are powerful, but it's smart to keep small electronics at least a few inches from implanted medical devices, and not let someone wearing headphones lean against your chest if you have one.

Tag Heuer's Mobile is a Watch Phone?

For this week Tag Heuer was designing a luxury > mobile phone inspires shock as much as a raised eyebrow, Biggs the watch fetishist over at Crunchgear dug through his old archives and found this rendering. Dialaphone.uk found these renders of a possible Tag Heuer mobile phone watch that's both classy and able to call people. Whether this is the actual Tag Heuer phone is uncertain and unlikely, but we'd actually really love a mobile phone watch that doesn't look like something we'd wear in the third grade.

Mitsubishi Electric Previews Latest LED Technology in Japan

Mitsubishi Electric has previewed production prototypes of its latest LED display at the CEATEC technology show in Japan. Named Resolia, the new system is the first Mitsubishi LED display designed specifically for indoor digital signage applications. Despite a display size measuring an impressive 1.8m tall by 3.1m wide (140″ screen diagonal), the Resolia is just 150mm deep, making it the slimmest LED screen ever produced by Mitsubishi. The ultra-thin profile of Resolia enables its use in places until now considered impractical for LED systems.
